An original oil on board by the British artist Allan Morgan who has become very collectable in the UK and Europe in recent years. The painting depicts a rural country landscape with sheep grazing in the fields with trees and hills in the background. The painting is in superb condition with the colours bright and vivid. Any haziness is due to the painting being behind glass and showing the reflection when photographed.
The painting is fully signed bottom left. It comes framed in a glazed ornate decorative gilt wooden frame.
Frame Size: 21"ins x 25"ins
Painting Size: 16"ins x 20"ins
Price: £150.00 + P&P SOLD
Allan Morgan (1952 - )
Allan Morgan is a full-time artist living in the border country of Herefordshire and Powys. Born in 1952, Allan studied art at both Swansea and Coventry Art Colleges, graduating with a B.A. in Fine Art (Painting), and began his career as an illustrator in publishing.
Initially, Allan embarked on a career as an illustrator, working for most of the major British publishing houses, but gradually he drifted back to his first love – landscape painting – specialising in paintings of the Gower Peninsular and the mid-Wales area. Allan's painting career has focused on realist landscapes. He has, as an artist, recently extended his style to include a more colourist approach. The artist's inspiration comes from his love of light, colour and atmosphere. Having spent many years living close to the coast in the past, Allan Morgan regularly returns to this subject matter
